The Ouija Board

Story submitted by Damein Williams

My very first paranormal experience was in 1994 at Bridgeport High School in
Saginaw, Michigan. It was a Monday and some of my classmates were talking about
their weekend. They had cleaned out their basement and found an old Oujia board
and started playing with it. To make a long story short, they said they made
a Ouija out of a piece of notebook paper and contacted the same spirit while in class.

So in art class, we all gathered around the table while the teacher was
gone and began to use this home made Ouija board from paper(sounds silly). At
the time, I kind of believed in the paranormal but never had any experiences
( but this began a chain of events) anyways, as I was saying, we are in art
class using the Ouija board and the spirit began giving ages and answering
questions that only the specific person would know the answer to with
uncanny accuracy. We asked if it could move something in the room and it
said "YES". I folded a piece of paper so one end stood up, making a
"L" shape and we asked the spirit to move it. After about one minute, the paper began
bending. It was the middle of winter and no windows were open and the
school used radiators for heat so there were no vents blowing air around. I began taunting the spirit, saying, “You can't move anything" and as soon as I said that, the piece of paper slammed down as if a hand smashed it and the paper slid in a very steady motion from one end of the table to the other and flew of the table. A
very cold draft blew through the room and as I mentioned, there were no
windows open or vents. There was six eye witnesses total during this experience. I can't explained what happened but there was something unseen that slammed that paper and slid it around on the table.

My second experience was at my home after school, A friend who had witnessed the paper moving in class came home with me and we made another paper Ouija board. We contacted a different spirit and we played around a while and decided to
call it quits. At the time I had a puppy by the name of Buddy. When we were
about to close out the Oujia board, my dog was slammed to the ground by an
unseen force and couldn’t move as if something or someone was holding it
down. This happened about three times. We grabbed a few Bibles and
started repeating scriptures until the violent surges stopped. I never
touched another Oujia board since. After that, I would wake in the middle of
the night and feel pinned down just like my dog was and it happened often.
I had a studio in my basement and weird things like mic cords would unravel
themselves, crazy disturbances in my audio recordings ( at the time I didn't
know anything about EVP's,) and loud knocks on my bedroom door. When I answered, no one was there. My bedroom and studio were in the basement, the same place where we used the Oujia board. The funny thing is, if someone knocked  on my bedroom door, they would have to knock and run really fast through the basement and up the stairs to not be seen and the floors above are really creaky. You can hear every little step.

My bed would shake violently in the middle of the night until I was completely awake ( some people call those night tremors, but that wasn't the case.) I do believe what ever we did that night in my basement made me more aware of the spirit world around me or made them aware that I know something is there and has been following me. The "pin down " situation still happened for a very long time. I moved to Indianapolis in 2005 and I had two instances there. I moved back to Muskegon, Michigan with my mother while I go to school and haven’t had one since. She is very spiritual and I know that has something to do with that.
