Ouija boards, spirit boards, talking boards – whatever name you use, the Ouija board has been around for a long time. Some people get a little weirded out when I tell them I collect Ou
ija boards. My grandparents were hesitant that I was collecting them until I explained to my grandma their collectable value ( we come from a family of collector’s and antique sellers so once I said that, Ouija boards were on the OK list). Then I started getting them for Christmas! People are even more stunned to find out my oldest board is from the early 1900’s. Since the birth of the Ouija board around 1891, talking boards have come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and styles.

While I’m working on expanding my collection slowly because I haven’t figured out a way to become independently wealthy, I enjoy seeing other people’s collections and hearing how they got involved in the wonderful world of talking boards.
