I am a sensitive and my wife is a Reiki and Urevia Master and we have done a lot of traveling and investigating. When the opportunity to go to Waverly came up, there was no question: we were going. We arrived in Louisville a day early, something we like to do, to get the lay of the land. It's a good thing we did! Waverly is not an easy place to find. After visiting the Louisville Slugger museum and the local BW3s, we were ready. Pulling up to the gates of the old building you start to see its five stories reaching for the sky. Security is right there to meet us, showing us the way to the safe house. The safe house was the old laundry room that has been redone and serves as the gift shop and entrance to Waverly.
10pm - Night One
After an introduction to the building and its past, we started a short tour. Tina (one of the owners) took us in through a tunnel that runs from the laundry room to the first floor. The second you walk in you can feel the heaviness that oozes from the building. After hitting the "hot spots" with Tina, we were set free. From the time we walked in, I saw the place for what it used to be: a glorious hospital.
63,000 souls may have passed here, but how many did this place save? In a time of great suffering this was a place of hope! The first night was quiet, not a lot of activity. Feeling and sensing things doesn't get me the hard evidence that I’ve always looked for. The first night ended with a few personal experiences and lots of pictures and film to go over. Looking over the evidence the next day, we didn't catch anything great.
10pm – Night Two
Our focus for the second night was on the 4th and 5th floors. This is where I felt the most activity the night before. The floors were still wet from the rain we had earlier in the day from the 3rd floor up. At first we looked at this as a mess to walk through all night, but it turned out to be a blessing. Starting in the center of the hallway on the 4th floor we just sat there with our lights out. After our eyes started to adjust to the dark, the fun started. Foot steps in the water surrounded us, seeing the "shadow people” dart from room to room, snapping picture after picture trying to get something on film, chasing them and never catching up. This was not like the night before. There was activity everywhere.

Moving up to the 5th floor, we sat in front of the infamous room 502 to do some EVP work. Twenty minutes in, I felt like someone was pushing on my back and got an intense feeling of suffering. Other people in our group started taking pictures and saw a short grey apparition standing behind me. With several personal experiences, we were sure we had some great evidence. Looking over the evidence the next day, I was a little disappointed that we had nothing. Then I thought about it all the way back home: the only way to see Waverly is in person. There aren’t any pictures or videos that can show the activity or the beauty of this great landmark. You have to see if for yourself.
